Student Police Cadet

The Student Police Cadet project is implemented in TDHS to instill all social skills necessary for the over all development of a child. SPC project aims at developing Politeness, Obedience, Loyalty, Intelligence, Courage and Empathy in students. This project is a joint venture of the Home department, Fire and Rescue department, Motor Vehicle department, Revenue department, Excise department and Education Department. The project envisages a society in which children obeys the rules and laws on their own without any external compulsions. The unit was inaugurated in TDHS on Dec 2, 2013. The cadets are active within the school by ensuring discipline in and out the school premises. The NCC Army and Air Wings of the school ably supports the SPC unit. Apart from these units Scout and Guides and the Red Cross are also actively participating in the developmental process of the institution. The Government provides 10% grace mark for all these students for their active participation and services. The STUDENT POLICE CADET Project is a school-based youth development initiative that trains high school students to evolve as future leaders of a democratic society by inculcating within them respect for the law, discipline, civic sense, empathy for vulnerable sections of society and resistance to social evils. The project also enables youth to explore and develop their innate capabilities, thereby empowering them to resist the growth of negative tendencies such as social intolerance, substance abuse, deviant behavior, and anti-establishment violence. Equally, it strengthens within them commitment towards their family, the community, and the environment.
